Privacy Policy

Compass Creative Studio Inc. (“Compass Creative”) is committed to protecting the integrity and privacy of personal information that we collect, use and disclose in the course of providing our services. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may gather or collect in connection with your use of the WORKSITES.NET services (the “Services”) and the hosting of a Client Website as described in WORKSITES.NET Subscription Agreement.

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Client Information

In order to provide our Services, Compass Creative collects information from you including your name, company name, email and postal addresses, telephone number, credit card account information, social media account and user names.

Compass Creative uses this information for the express purpose of developing and providing Compass Creative’s Services to enable you (the Client) to build and host a Client Website, use the Lead Tracking tool, and market your services to your customers (the “Customer”).

Compass Creative may transfer or disclose Client information including personal information to third parties such as our business partners, service vendors and authorized third-party agents in order to provide Compass Creative’s Services, including, for example, processing of credit card transactions by third-party agents. Account information and credit card holder data may be transferred, processed and stored outside of Canada by third party processors which Compass Creative engages to complete subscription payments. We provide these third parties with the minimum information required to complete the service or transaction and the third-parties are not permitted to use this information for any purpose other than completing the requested service.

Compass Creative will not sell, rent or disclose Client’s information to any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes, unless you have granted us permission to do so.

Compass Creative may, from time to time, send messages to Client providing website and marketing advice or providing information regarding additional products or services available from Compass Creative or partners of Compass Creative which may be used to improve the Client’s Website and marketing efforts. Client may opt-out from such messages through the received message or “my settings” page.

Compass Creative may collect and share personal information and any other information available to us in order to:

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Customer Information

In the course of providing the Services, Compass Creative receives and/or gathers information from and about Client’s Customers on the Client’s behalf. Such information includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and other information submitted by Customers to the Client Website and provided to Client, such as through the Lead Tracker tool. Such information also may include website analytics and aggregate lead-tracking information gathered by Compass Creative based on Customers use of the Client Website.

Compass Creative will not otherwise use, sell, rent or disclose Customer’s information to any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

Compass Creative is not responsible for verifying, monitoring or updating any Customer information.

Client Obligations

By entering into the WORKSITES.NET Subscription Agreement, Client assumes all responsibility for maintaining its own privacy practices and policies for collecting, using and disclosing Customer information which may include personal information and for ensuring that these actions are carried out in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any other applicable laws.

Client responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Compass Creative’s Services do not support e-commerce or online financial transactions between Client and Client’s Customer. Customer information submitted through the “Contact Us” or other similar pages on the Client Website may not be encrypted or handled with measures required for financial information such as credit card data. Client assumes all responsibility for ensuring such information is not submitted to, or used or retained by Client through the Client Website.

Client assumes all responsibility for obtaining consent to use any personal information submitted as part of Client’s Content for the Client Website, including consent to display photographs identifying an individual.

Client assumes all responsibility for notifying Customers of changes to Client’s privacy practices and policies including changes which result from changes to the Compass Creative Privacy Policy.

Information Security

Compass Creative is committed to protecting information shared with us and takes appropriate measures to protect against any unauthorized access to Client and Customer personal information.

Compass Creative complies with applicable Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) and the Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA-DSS) when collecting, storing and sending credit card information over the Internet.

Access to personal information stored on Compass Creative’s servers is restricted to authorized personnel, including Compass Creative employees and contractors employed to provide the Services. Any individuals having access to the information stored on our servers are bound by confidentiality agreements.


This Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time at the discretion of Compass Creative. Notification of modifications consists of posting a new or modified Privacy Policy on the WORKSITES.NET website. This Privacy Policy, including any modifications, governs any information that is been submitted to Compass Creative regardless when such information is submitted to us. By agreeing to the WORKSITES.NET Subscription Agreement, you agree to terms of this Privacy Policy and any modifications thereto.
